WODES’2016 – 13th International Workshop on Discrete Event Systems (30/5/2016-1/6/2016)

Prof. Patrícia Pena attended the 13th International Workshop on Discrete Event Systems (WODES 2016), in Xi’an, China. She presented the paper:

Supervisor Abstraction to Deal With Planning Problems in Manufacturing Systems, coauthored by Juliana Vilela, master student.

Carlos Eduardo, Prof. Lilian, Prof. Patrícia, Prof. Stéphane and Prof. Basílio at the conference.

In the opportunity, she met colleagues from all around, including Prof. Lilian Carvalho, Prof. João Basílio, and Carlos Eduardo Nunes from Rio de Janeiro, and Prof. Stéphane Lafortune from the University of Michigan.

The banquet was interesting, with typical Chinese food.

Xi’an is close to the Terracota Army, and the conference organizers invited us for a visit. The site is amazing.
